Multiple usurp attempts more likely to over come status quo?
#1
If in the same turn I attempt to usurp or cause rebellion using 2 emisarries in a city where an opponent's emissary is trying to maintain status quo, does the status quo attempt count against both of my emissaries in the same turn?

e.g. if I try to take control of a town with a Dwarven duke, but the duke fails because an elf Baron was maintaining status quo and then my Dwarven Baron tries to usurp the same town that same turn, does the Dwarven Baron have to overcome the elf Baron's status quo effort too?

Yes and I'd be very careful in trying to incite or usurp unless you have a significant advantage in both overall influence and level of your emissary. The scenario describe might lead to your duke being taken prisoner by the population and will DEFINITELY lead to your baron being imprisoned. And that's for a normal emissary opposing you--remember the DA and EL both get 10% bonus to their incite, usurp and maintain abilities.

Realized I might not have been clear: One emissary's maintain will work against all other emissaries in the pop center.
