has anyone ever had a adept die going through the rite of the magi?

Curious, what's the % chance they will die from it?

Never had one die since restarting alamaze.   I believe that is a thing of the past where it could be quite high for the non Mage kingdoms like the barbarian.

In game 300, the test game I lost a Dwarf wizard.  So out of about 10 attempting the Rite, I died and 2 or 3 had to do  a reattempt.

That would ruin my day if i lost one due to rite of magi
