Hardy folk and war-blooded, they are at +20% to both attack and defense in Winter months.
They have food bonuses in controlled PC's. Yes, the peasants do that so they don't have to.
They can make a night attack (special tactic) if led by a Marshall +. Its a bit like Chaos with a 20% attack bonus.
They can Ambush with an Army sized group (normally restricted to Division).
Their leaders emerge more frequently, get promoted more frequently, are harder to kill and assassinate.
