Long time returning player

I have fond memories of Alamaze.  I played 2 games.  The last one was game 80 which I won along with 2 of my friends (it was a team game).  

Of course that was literally decades ago, but I still have all of my turns in a binder in the garage.

Anyhow, I looked in a few years back to read about Kingdoms of Arcadia but it looks like that is on hold.  I'd be interested in trying another game of Alamaze but I'm a bit confused about how it would work.  Other than knowing the most general way the game works I'm really a newb.  Are there games just for new folks?  If so how frequently do they start and how would I join one?

Welcome back! many of use were the same as you played in the late 80s then found it again.

There is actually a game forming for 6 newish/new players each partnered up with an experienced player. Likely a very good format for a returning type player to get adjusted to new rules and how things work. To sign up just post in that thread

Best is to fill out the brief form at the website: alamaze.co.  (not com) signup page.  Then you'll be sent a welcome email with some important links including this forum, and the order entry and verification site.  You'll find getting your orders in and not making mistakes much easier than the 80's.  And we are now in 3rd Cycle.  Both on the order entry site and here on the forum (Rules and Resources) are the maps, rules, and player aids.

You couldn't do much better than to team with Jumpingfist, one of our top mentors and players, in this game forming on the link he sent.
