Kingdom Customization

I left the thread title vague to invite other questions, but I am specifically concerned with the Mist Talisman. The manual I am using says that the emissary is immune to both the Locate Character spell and the HP Divine Artifact Location divination. Does this mean that if my king wears the Mist Talisman and is in possession of the Staff of the Great Orator, nobody will be able to divine the location of the Staff?

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

I was wondering about that with regards hidden capitals. If my king has the staff and he's in a hidden capital, will the HP be able to divine it's location? So if you are going to be an artifact collector, wouldn't this be a priority?

You guys.  It's an adventure game.

I was happy to see that the game's creator had replied because I was certain that I would get a clear and final answer, perhaps even a "yes, that is exactly how it works". Instead, I get this cryptic remark that seems to be for a completely different thread itn zero context and apparently no relevance to the initial post. I am pretty sure that I posed a legit question and that DuPont's follow up was on point. What am I missing here??

I'll take a stab and suggest that perhaps he means..... go play the game and you'll find out what happens when the situation arises (as opposed to telling you up front what the specific outcome will be).

Also consider the Conceal Emissary spell and Invisible groups. They're all kind of similar to each other along with hidden pc's so if you're a smart guy and put two and two together, you'll get five Smile

Now before someone says, "But wait, does that mean that a priestess' divine group no longer detects invisible groups?". The divine group order behaves as it always did and reveals an invisible group's location, just not its contents as if it contained an artifact.

BTW, there were plans of revamping some rules regarding invisibility where at least agents were involved since some missions aren't possible against an invisible group like assassinate leader/wizard (where a player just has to make their group invisible to make their leaders/wizards immune to assassination) among other agent missions. So to establish proper game balance and to standardize agent capabilities (e.g., L4 reveals masked, L7 reveals ambush), L10 agents would have full access to invisible groups, including recon, assassinations, poison food supply, ...etc.

However I ran out of time to implement this change when The Choosing became available. It's still on my list of loose ends to finish but I may not be able to get to it until a couple of weeks. This change will also provide greater value for converting your wizard into a lich/wraith or leader into nazgul so they become immune to assassination attempts other than to just make your group invisible as before.

I don't know if additional changes like making a Prince available as a customization or ESO award will be added to my list because I'm trying to catch up as it is but we'll see...

The question was a specific one related to one of the Kingdom Customization options. The wording in the documentation isn't clear and I was asking what the option actually does. I know exactly what 15,000 gold, +1 level of influnce, and even what Valyrian Steel does. I am uncertain about Mist Talisman so I asked the question.

Why was that an unreasonable request?
